When Peter stepped out of his boat, he focused on the Savior. He WALKED ON WATER. Then when he let the waves, the wind hitting his face, the fear of drowning attack his mind, he started to sink. Christ asked him where was his faith.
I have found that what we focus on, we think about. What we focus on we are either joyful or it leads us away from Christ. If we focus on our dream or vision, if we exercise faith that we WILL obtain our goal, we will feel joy and contentment. If we focus on the winds of the adversary, the waves of doubt, if we focus on the fear of what may be coming to destroy or goal or dream, we will sink in our effort to realize our dream.
I would assume it would be a great practice to greet every day with a focus. Write it down. Put it somewhere that we see often during the day. I promise there will be wind, waves, doubt, questions, frustrations, and more presented to us by Satan to get us to start sinking, forgetting our dream, and crying out as Peter did, Lord save me.
What will we focus on today?
